MEET THE BAND

Matt Boone was born in July of 1984 in West Tennessee. Boone's passion for music began at the early age of 5, when his father gave him his first acoustic guitar. His favorite childhood idols were George Strait, Alabama, & Randy Travis.  By the age of 8 he was performing in church playing the drums and singing with the Cecil Henson family. In his later pre-teen years he played in his first band called, " American Pride". However, Boone's childhood was very rough due to an inherited heart condition. At the age of 14 he underwent open heart surgery to repair a leaky Aortic Valve. The health problems continued into Boone's teenage years and young adulthood. By the Age of 21 a risky procedure was performed to replace Matt's Aortic heart valve. It was an all-day operation as his parents and family paced the floors. It was a complete success which saved the life of that young man. In 2010, Boone's heart began showing signs of Arrhythmia, so he was then implanted with a permanent pacemaker.

In 2005, at the Age of 21 Boone attended College at Volunteer State Community College and graduated with a GPA of 96 in Commercial Truck driving. Shortly after he began a career as an OTR (over the road) driver. Disappointed in long hours pulling his focus away from the true love of music Boone continued to somehow find ways to perform with his tight scheduling. He could be found in the Opryland area on Friday & Saturday Nights in Nashville, Tennessee on nearby venue stages. It was there where Boone shared the stages with beloved Opry Stars such as Jack Greene, Jeannie Sealy, Joanne Cash, & many more.

2009 began a new horizon for the young Matt Boone. After numerous appearances in the Opryland Area, Boone was invited to perform at the NTCMA Fest in Le Mars, Iowa. It was there where he was awarded the "Rising Legend Award". Later that fall he attended a Nashville songwriter’s festival at Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tn. Where he shared the stage with the beloved Star! Now, with music hitting the airways overseas and songs beginning to make the Charts on Indie radio it was no doubt that Boone was becoming a well-known, seasoned Artist. Then in 2011 Boone made his debut on the Legendary WSM Radio in Nashville, while performing at Nashville's Cowboy Church at the Ernest Tubb Theater. The performance also debuted through live stream to XM/ Sirius Satellite Radio.

2011 continues with more remarkable things when he was nominated for CD of The Year for his released project "Family Table" which was a Military tribute song. In 2014 after the loss of a beloved hometown family in a structure fire, Boone was inspired to write a song. The song was called, "My Little Angel". All proceeds from the song were contributed to assist in memorial services for the young family. The song was later awarded " Song of The Year 2014" with NTCMA. Boone seen incredible growth in his career in 2015. In July of 2015 Boone opened a show for Country Super Star Phil Vassar at Toby Keith's Bar & Grill in Denver, Colorado. That night he received several standing ovations and was loved by the entire crowd and Rave Reviews followed! In September of 2015 Boone received the highest Honor when he was inducted into the NTCMA Hall of Fame.  This Hall of Fame includes known Stars such as, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr., Conway Twitty, Marty Robbins, & so many more! This year Boone also released a single called, "Every Other Sunday" which won "Song of the Year" with the Josie Music Awards at the annual event held at the Opryland Springs in Nashville, Tennessee.

Matt is also known for all his many charitable contributions for causes such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Relay for Life, Down Syndrome Awareness, Annual Pug Fest donations, & Individual Benefits. Boone has performed at over 250 fundraisers! All these wonderful things lead to the much-deserved award win at The Josie Music awards in 2016 for "Humanitarian of the Year". Boone also performed at the award show that night which was held at the world renowned Schermerhorn Symphony Center located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee for a packed house of over 2,500 attendees. The Josie Music Awards is the World’s largest Indie Awards Show worldwide.

The single made radio debut in October of 2016 following Boone's first ever music Video Release. I wanted to honor my mother, just tell her how important she has been to me. She has really been supportive and a huge influence in my life and what better way than to do so with this outstanding song".
